Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using BestRole ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and BestRole ("Company", "we", "us"). You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

BestRole is an AI-powered job search assistant that provides tools including resume creation and ATS scoring, job application tracking, interview preparation, AI-powered outreach message generation, and LinkedIn profile optimization.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

To use BestRole, you must register an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

You may not share your account with others or create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits.

Free Plan

BestRole offers a free plan with limited features. Free plans are subject to fair-use limits and may be changed or discontinued.

Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@bestroleai.com within 30 days of the charge.

You agree not to use BestRole to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract the Service's underlying models or data
• Distribute spam, phishing, or malicious content via the outreach features
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others
• Circumvent any rate limit, access control, or security measure
• Use automated bots or scripts to access the Service
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

BestRole uses third-party AI models (including Gemini) to generate resume suggestions, outreach messages, interview tips, and other content. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suitable for your specific situation
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and using any AI-generated output
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated resumes will pass any specific ATS system or secure employment
• Generated outreach messages should comply with applicable anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload or create on BestRole (resumes, job data, notes, etc.). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and display your content solely to provide the Service.

Our IP

BestRole, its logo, design, software, and all associated intellectual property are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our IP without our written consent.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.

BestRole is a tool to assist your job search — we do not guarantee employment outcomes, interview invitations, or specific application results.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BESTROLE AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BestRole from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

You may close your account at any time from the account settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or that your use poses a risk to us, other users, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
